Juvenile Treatment Court workshops
INSIGHTS: The Identity Project

VisionWorkshops uses photography and writing to focus on the positive self-identities of young drug court offenders. We guide students through the process of making black and white self-portraits in the darkroom, writing about their experiences and their transformations.

Anne Arundel County Schools Workshops – Crossing Borders – Two Cultures/One Me

Anne Arundel County Schools Workshops
Crossing Borders
Two Cultures / One Me

Crossing Borders is a workshop series for Bates Middle School ESOL students, recent arrivals from El Salvador and Mexico. With cameras, pens and journals in hand, we encourage students to document their new lives here in Annapolis. We also ask them to recall their lifestyles before they crossed the border to the United States. What their photographs and writings reveal is the story of a new generation of young Americans who are a rich blend of two distinct cultures.
